Will I be able to have counselling if I am a heavy user of substances?

Yes, but I would also direct you to your local drug and alcohol service who will offer you free support to treat your addiction.  This would involve sessions with a specialist keyworker and planning a safe reduction of your substance use and if it’s your choice supporting you towards abstinence.  This might also include arranging a detox treatment or being signposted to NA or AA twelve step meetings.

What do I need to join the CRAFT Group?
• Have a family member, friend or someone you are concerned
about who has a problem with drinking and/or drug taking 
• Have a telephone chat with Tom to ensure it will be suitable for you

and give you a chance to ask any questions
• Have a laptop with a camera for online sessions 
• Have a private uninterrupted space for online sessions
• Have access to a printer to enable handouts to be printed.​
